Oregon vs Washington
Team Washington
Ed Slade
Captain
Daniel Sardoncillo
FR 726NW Cup favorite Daniel Sardoncillo is back as the 4th pick for Team Washington!
Representing Ox Billiards, Daniel has become a formidable force on the table. Daniel draws his core motivation and inspiration from his dad's encouragement to keep working at his game.
With notable high-level finishes at premier events such as the Vancouver Open,
the Amar Kang Memorial, and the Don Weir Memorial this year, he will bring his smooth yet dynamic approach to the Cup again!
Clay Belvoir
FR 686Clay's signature style is a fiercely competitive yet fluid approach. His impressive win resume (spanning events such as WBCA, Big Dawg, and the Black Diamond Open) has certainly factored into his return to the team.
World champion and Seattle local Dan Louie is one of Clay's biggest inspirations, most notably his deep passion for the game and respect for all opponents.
Clay plans to bring strong strategic play to the table (and perhaps complete some unfinished business from the 2021 hill-hill thriller!) His experience with the Rasson tables should also serve him well, as the cup venue of Ox Billiards is his home pool hall.
Clay is a strong pick and sure to be an asset to Team Washington this year!
Eddie Mataya
FR 661A true staple of the PNW pool community, Eddie hails from Tacoma and reps Scratch Billiards. He has built a formidable reputation across the Northwest with his smoothly graceful game.
Despite his strong record of wins, Eddie describes his game as a "work in progress" as he continues to hone his craft and considerable pool I.Q.
He stays inspired by local legend Stan Tourangeau, especially admiring his
top-tier play over such a long career, proving that passion for the game never fades.
Making his 2nd NW Cup appearance since the inaugural 2018 cup, Eddie is ready
to bring his experience and power to the table for Washington!
Cindy Sliva
FR 590Currently playing out of Scratch Pizza & Billiards, Tacoma's Cindy Sliva is a known force in the Northwest.
She is a formidable competitor known for a calculated and smooth style on the table. Her impressive resume spans both national and regional stages, including a 2014 US Bar Table 8-Ball championship! A proud member of the WBCA Hall of Fame, she also holds the historic distinction of being the only master-level player to sweep the triple crown at a WBCA event.
Fueling her drive is a philosophy inspired by the truly relevant-to-billiards quote: "Persistence is everything, as talent alone cannot replace grit and determination."
- Calvin Coolidge. Cindy will bring a quiet confidence in her strategy and experience to the team as she looks to outmove her opponents!
Ed Hobbs
FR 630Representing Tacoma and Stimpy's Bar & Grill in Kent, Ed Hobbs is known for a game built on tenacity and ACTION.
A former APA 9-Ball national champion, Ed has a solid track record of wins as well as seasoning through competitive money matchups. One inspiration for him is his play with local legend Harry Platis. Ed says "the intense pressure he puts me under gives me motivation to play. He has definitely inspired my pool game the most."
A veteran of the inaugural NW Cup, he will pair his high-level play with a little fun crowd engagement. Be sure to tune in for his matches as he aims to keep the cup in Washington!
Team Oregon
Tyrel Datwyler
Captain
Steve Lingelbach
FR 688A Portland-based top player, instructor, and business owner, Steve Lingelbach has been a longtime fixture in the Pacific Northwest billiards community.
Returning for the first time since 2022, Steve will bring a dynamic and gritty game, based on his extensive experience in high-stakes matches. Look out for strategies gleaned from his one-pocket knowledge too!Though he surely takes inspiration from professional peers such as SVB and Mika Immonen over the years, Steve would likely say his greatest inspiration is his partner and the late pool community icon, Carissa Biggs. Steve will aim to make Oregon proud as the team battles to bring the cup back down south!
Brookman Holmes
FR 666Brookman's approach is the epitome of hard work. His game is built on precision, working on drills based on his coach Robin Dreyer's guidance. He says Robin "taught me how to see the game, play the easy shots, not be afraid of the big shots and to believe in myself". All key pieces to success in the NW Cup arena!
Last year he claimed the WBCA Elite Singles 10-Ball title, but he continues to hone his craft, seeking out plenty of tough competition on 9fts over the last year at Ox and Black Diamond. Brookman's steady game at his last cup appearance drew high praise from the legendary Allison Fisher during her last cup commentary, so look for him to bring his calculated game again this year. A must pick for Oregon in 2026!
Molina Ortíz
FR 647Originally from Mexico, beginning her billiards journey in New York and now calling Oregon home, she will return for her 3rd year at the Cup. Molina will bring a solid mental game, intense shotmaking and maybe some of her 1 pocket strategy to the squad. Decorated with several major national and regional achievements, she will be a strong asset for Team Oregon. Molina is also known for sharing her knowledge through her mentorship, participating in local women's billiards clinics.
She draws lifelong inspiration from legends like Allison Fisher and Francisco Bustamante. Molina says she also enjoyed learning from Mika Immonen's play during his days as house pro at Amsterdam Billiards.
Armed with her trusty Southwest cue, La Bandida looks to help her team bring the Cup back to Oregon!
Cedric Sloan
FR 646After making a poised impact in his first cup appearance last year, Portland area's Cedric Sloane has earned his spot back on the 2026 squad. He brought his signature smooth and unstoppable rotation game to the table, delivering crucial shots under pressure while setting a tone for Oregon’s team energy.
Fueled by his admiration of Shane van Boening's determined game, Cedric always stays tenacious at the table. He is back to bring precision, calm confidence, and grit to the arena again!
Trevor Sickendick
FR 618Hailing from Medford and representing Rackem Billiards, Trevor approaches the game with a learning mindset. Self-describing as a student and perfectionist, he also brings passion and love for the game to the table.
Trevor is making his mark lately in the regional competitive scene with strong performances, including a notable 3rd-place finish in the $1,000 entry MOB event at Griff's last year.
He keeps focused by following the advice of his instructor Kim Young at Dragon Billiards to "succeed at one thing". Trevor will make his debut appearance at this year's NW Cup and there is no doubt he will be ready to showcase his dedication and skills.
